HAUGH Virtual Field Trips​

Are you looking for a fun activity for your school or youth group? We are happy to offer these FREE Virtual field trips. We hope you can virtually visit the Haugh and enjoy one of our special holiday performances.


A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (Recommended for Grades 6-12, Approximate running time is 50 minutes)
Available December ​7-11

A faithful, yet fun and fast-paced retelling of the Dickens holiday classic. Join Scrooge, the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future for Christmas Carol, delivered virtually by the Citrus College Theatre Arts Department. ​Additional educational resources will also be available.

Don't Shelve the Elves!: An animated treat from the Citrus Singers (Appropriate for all ages, Approximate running time is 25 minutes)
Available December 14-18

Santa's workshop is abuzz with the realization that Santa and the elves aren't able to visit Citrus College this year to see the children of the world. But who's going to break the news Santa? Ernie and Elsie decide to be the brave elves who take on the task!​​ The Citrus Singers lend their voice talents to a cast of animated characters in this new holiday adventure! Additional activities will also be available.

HOW IT WORKS
On Monday the 7th or 14th (depending which show you choose), you will be given a link and a password to the field trip which will be good for that week. ​You can show the performance through your video classroom via this link, or you can send the link and password out to each of your students for them to view independently. The link will expire at 11:59 pm on the 11th or 18th (depending on which show you choose).​ You are welcome to attend both shows, just make sure to register for each show separately.

Created by DLUX Puppets, and commissioned by Kaiser Permanente and the Diablo Regional Arts Association, this program was created to help children reflect upon their time in quarantine. The COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine have had a tremendous impact on the mental health and wellness of our youth. The Quarantine Time Machine is a free digital video series accompanied by curriculum, activities, and mental health expert advice to serve this very timely need for children. Join Cory and Tina as they travel with their grandfather back in time in the Quarantine Time Machine!

Materials are free and available to both parents and educators.
